PeekTv has no ads, analytics, tracking SDKs, or sale of personal data. Your setup is stored on your devices and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the PeekTv app for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV and the peektv.app website. “We,” “us,” or “PeekTv” refers to the app’s independent developer.
2. No PeekTv account or server
You do not create a PeekTv account. The app does not send your playlist credentials, favourites, watch history, downloads, or settings to a PeekTv-operated server because no such service exists.
3. Data stored on your device
PeekTv may store playlist names and credentials, favourites, watch history, playback progress, downloaded media, reminders, and app settings on your device. This information is required to provide the features you choose to use.
4. Private iCloud storage
If iCloud sync is enabled, playlist information, favourites, settings, and watch progress are backed up or synchronized through Apple CloudKit in your private database. Access is controlled by your Apple ID. The PeekTv developer cannot read your private iCloud records. Apple’s privacy terms apply to its services.
5. Services the app contacts
Your IPTV provider
Streaming, playlist, and guide requests go directly from your device to the provider you selected. That provider can receive information normally included in an internet request, such as your IP address, and its own privacy policy applies.
TMDB
Movie and series titles may be sent to The Movie Database (TMDB) to retrieve artwork, synopsis, runtime, and related metadata. Playlist credentials are not sent to TMDB.
Trakt
If the optional Trakt integration is available and you connect your own account, watch events are sent to Trakt for scrobbling under that account. This is optional and subject to Trakt’s privacy policy.
Apple
Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, iCloud storage, and device notifications. We never receive your payment card or complete Apple ID payment details.
6. No advertising, tracking, or sale
PeekTv does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, build advertising profiles, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or sell personal data. If this changes, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the change takes effect.
7. Website data
The public website does not use cookies, behavioural analytics, or a contact form. If privacy-friendly aggregate analytics are added later, this policy will be updated to identify the provider and information collected.
8. Data deletion
Delete locally stored data from the app where controls are available or remove the app from your device. To remove synced data, disable PeekTv iCloud sync and delete its data through your Apple ID iCloud settings. Deleting downloaded media removes the corresponding local files.
9. Children
PeekTv is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We use the security features provided by Apple platforms and keep data collection to a minimum. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes or legal requirements evolve. The “last updated” date will change when material revisions are published.
